"Something is coming. No, not something, not someone. An Idea!" he said, as he paced. "How brilliant! Fantastic, wonderful, other synonyms!" he shouted, no one would hear him. He knew many things that leaked from the pool, and he understood so many things at once. He knew all about so many different animals, and he knew what a 'synonym' was. The only thing that seemed to keep him going was that there was a new thing to think about every day. He could leave the water's edge, but if he got to far, he'd suddenly end up back next to it. He didn't really want to leave in the first place. He just wanted to know.
"Nothings coming. I am bringing it." he came to a conclusion. "It will be horrible. Terribly. Sad. Wonderful. Brilliant. Exciting." he sighed in almost bliss, knowing there was something not-right about his head.
He looked into the pool, his eyes narrowing as he tried to read the infinity that seemed to swirl around it. He couldn't unlock it's mysteries, but maybe someone else could. And maybe someone else can share the burden of his knowledge. Intensified, in fact. He needed some sort of friends. He looked down again and sighed. There was no reflection.

Marmalade padded out of the forest to see Stark at the pool. "What are you doing?" she asked

"Yes. How did you stumble upon the rift, one may ask. Or, in my case, many will ask. Stupid voices, taking up my brain space, telling me how to bake my cakes. I tell them, Nay! I will make them in a different fashion then yours!"

"So you called in the navy, ay? I see how it is!" he said to marmalade, glancing at her and then Fell Jay.

"they call these waters infinity. Because thats what it is, infinite. But no one could ever just stare into infinity and understand it's majesty in complexities. Maybe someone can. Maybe not. Maybe they can and can't at the same time, thus they are indeed, both dead and not. Which means one of us will die. One of us will not. the other can't, and the dead one will surely be alive." he went on.
"Another thing is that no one can understand it. There's something written there, i can tell you that. Everything is written there. This no one must indeed keep a clear head but at the same time together. So here is the question. If you both don't know why your here, maybe it's because you do know why your here, but you just don't yet. But technically you do, because at some point you will figure it out. "

*Fell Jay walked over to the pool, and looked in. He saw his reflection clearly, but he could not see Stark's. He looked into his deep blue eyes, and glanced over his sleek silver and black pelt.*

"Why do you not reflect in the Pool of knowledge?" Marmalade asked dreamily, her eyes fixed on the glistening pool

Marmalade found it hard to pull herself away from the pool, and she felt empty, and scared without it. Her heart was thudding fast "Where am I! Get me out of here! I want back to my house-folks!" she cried, her head clear of most of the pools magic, but she still felt drawn to it. But now, she could think clearly, she was afraid of that."

Marmalade blinked suddenly, she saw herself in front of her, but her eyes were purple "Marmalade. You do not need my protection any longer. Fend for yourself, be yourself. Stark might not know it. But you are the correct cat." and then, she dissapeared.
Marmalade blinked, and felt free, whatever that had been, it was gone. She laid down and put her head on her paws, dreaming of the pool of Knowledge, and staring into infinity.

Stark sighed, padding along the ridge where nightmares were kept. It was horrible, most living things wouldn't dare come near. Scratch that, it's impossible.
But he was not living. Nor did he have a soul.
"How much longer!?!?" He cried over the ridge. "How much longer do i have to wait!? Why not let me go?" he said the last words in barely a whisper.

*Fell Jay snarled and tore up the ground in front of him. How to get revenge? I know... I'll kill the two of them when they least expect it! Fell jay snarled again.*

Marmalade blinked a few times "Hey Stark. If you can here. Sorry for annoying you."
